As most of us say baking is therapeutic & all that jazz but at the same time it is stressful too atleast for me 😉 Each & every step is crucial from ingredient measurement to oven temperature etc.So many factors has to be right to get that perfect output. Be it baking a cake or any other savory bakes you need patience. I obviously lack it & its funny how much ever I try to control myself , I tend to open the oven door a million times to check if everything is baking fine Few months back I made an effort to bake something atleast once in two weeks. But somehow the past two months I didn’t use my oven at all. Luckily yesterday got an opportunity to break that jinx. A friend invited us over for dinner & thought of preparing something sweet for them. Had a fresh batch of blueberries and initially thought of baking a Lemon Blueberry Cake but went with the classic chocolate flavor instead.
This recipe is adapted from Nestle’s website. Have made few changes to the original recipe. The texture of the cake was perfectly crumbly & soft. But not too spongy maybe I over mixed the batter. So please ensure that you take extra care while mixing wet & dry ingredients.
I will share the icing recipe I followed too but it was a bit runny. It definitely needs improvement & some tweaks to get the right consistency. Neverthless overall I was so happy with the output and my husband gave a big thumbs up too. If you try this recipe please do share your feedback.
