- Break Jaggery (Vellam) into fine pieces.
- If there is one cup of Jaggery then add 1 cup of water to it.
- Let the pieces be dissoved in water completely.
- Bring the mixture to boil. Let it boil for about 3-4 minutes.
- Filter the impurities and keep aside the Jaggery Syrup.
