Upma is a common breakfast in SouthIndia(especially Rava upma and Semia upma). I guess we all would have heard_ n_ number of advantages of Oats.Oats combined with veggies would make the breakfast even more healthier. My MIL gave a hint about this recipe last week and today I tried it. I have added few more variations to her recipe.Unfortuantely couldn’t click step by step preparation of this since I didn’t have enough time. Might be will post the pictures when I prepare in future.

Ingredients
- 2 cups Oats
- 1 Onion (big)
- 1 Tomato
- 1 cup carrot beans potato Chopped , ,
- Ginger few pieces
- Curry leaves few
- 3 Chillies Dried Red
- 1/2 tbsp Turmeric powder
- 1 pinch Asafetodia
- 1 tbsp Chillipowder
- 1 tbsp Salt
- 1 tbsp Mustard seeds urad dal , each
- 2 tbsps Cooking Oil
- 4 cups Water
- Coriander leaves leaves for garnishing

Instructions
- Heat oil in the frying pan and add mustard seeds,urad dal,dried chillies,curry leaves
- Let it splutter
- Add ginger and all the chopped vegetables
- Saute it for minutes. Then add salt,turmeri powder,asafetodia,chilli powder and again saute the mixture for minutes two 2 3
- Pour water and let's wait until the vegetables are cooked
- Then add Oats to it and keep stirring. Lumps are not formed as in other upmas. However adding much of water will ruin the taste of Oats two
- Cover the pan and lower the gas flame. After minutes turn off and garnish it with corriander leaves 10
- Healthy oats upma is ready to be served.
