Karuveppilai Podi (How to make curry leaf powder?)- Post Partum diet
Ingredients
Instructions
  1. Dry roast curry leaves in a frying pan. Keep it aside
  2. In the same pan dry roast toor dal & urad dal until they are golden brown. Keep the flame low so that the daal dont turn black
  3. Then add dried red chillies,jeera, pepper & coriander seeds
  4. Saute for 5-6 minutes until all the other ingredients are roasted
  5. Add hing & 1/2 tbsp salt
  6. Grind the daal mixture first for few seconds
  7. Add curry leaves later & then grind everything together
  8. This can be served with hot rice as shown below. Along with it i have served milagu kuzhambu, koottu and pachadi. This is such a healthy postpartum diet
Curry leaf powder idlis
  1. Just chop idli into pieces. Heat oil in a pan
  2. Add mustard seeds,urad dal. Let it splutter
  3. Add the idlies, 2 tbsp curry leaf powder and a tbsp of oil
  4. Toss everything together
