Veg Cutlet with Green Chutney
Cutlet is such a filling snack and nutritious too. During childhood train journey “appa” used to get these cute little “heart-shaped” cutlets without fail. This is the first i prepared them at my home and it was nostalgic.Incase if you are cautious about calories you can pan fry them instead of deep

Ingredients
  • 2 Potato
  • 1/2cup Onion(chopped)
  • Carrot Cauliflower beans green peas capsicum, , , , bowl of these vegetables finely chopped
  • 1 Green chillies
  • 1tbsp Saunf(sombu in tamil)
  • Curry leavesfew
  • 1/4tbsp Ginger Garlicpaste
  • 2cups BreadCrumbs (readily available in Departmental stores)
  • 3tbsps Maida All purpose flouror
  • to taste Salt
  • Vegetable Oil Sunflower oilor to deep fry
  • 1cup Water
Instructions
  1. Mix Maida with water and make it as a fine paste. Let the consistency be a bit thick
  2. Boil the peas and potatoes together
  3. Heat oil in a kadai and add saunf to it.Let it splutter
  4. Add curry leaves,green chillies,onion. Saute for about minutes two
  5. To this add the chopped veggies,salt and saute for about minutes 5 6
  6. Once the vegetables are partially cooked add boiled potatoes,peas
  7. Mash them together
  8. Now divide them into ten equal portions(samll balls)
  9. Squeeze them between ur hands so that a disc like shape is formed
  10. Dip the disc in maida paste and then coat them evenly with bread crumbs
  11. Leave bread crumbs coated discs undisturbed for about 10 minutes
  12. In the meantime heat oil in a pan
  13. Deep fry discs 3 to 4 at a time(Depending on the size of ur pan) and remove it from oil once they turn golden brown color
  14. Place it in a tissue paper and remove the excess oil
  15. Serve it with Green Chutney and Tomato Ketchup
