Grilled Chutney Sandwich
Sandwiches are our go-to Breakfast. Its easy, less complicated and there is no chance of messing it up. I use different types of fillings for my sandwich. Avocados,leftover paneer or mushroom masala, sometimes I even use tomato gojju (southindian style onion+tomato based side dish) as a base for the sandwich. However this green chutney sandwich is our personal favorite. It takes just 10 minutes to prepare and then 5 minutes on the griller. Within 15 minutes you can make a filling breakfast. The sandwiches can be paired with a glass of fresh orange juice,smoothies or Tea to make it a wholesome meal. Sandwiches are perfect for kids lunch box and during travels too.

Ingredients
For Chutney :

  • Whole Wheat Bread Cheddar Cheese onions tomato cucumber8 4 Slices (or any cheese slice of your choice) 1/2 cup sliced ,,
Instructions
  1. Clean coriander leaves and wash them thoroughly without any dirt
  2. Grind coriander leaves with salt,chilli,tomato and ginger garlic paste
  3. Adjust salt and keep it aside
  4. Apply a tbsp of chutney on one whole wheat bread. You can use white bread if you want
  5. Top it with sliced veggies
  6. Now place the cheddar cheese slice on top
  7. Grill until golden brown
  8. Cut the sandwich into triangles and serve them hot
  9. Melting cheese combined with the tanginess from coriander chutney makes it a delightful combination
  10. I served it with a glass of Twinings Masala Chai
  11. You can even pack these sandwiches for kid’s school box or during any day trip outings too

****Notes :

If you don’t have a griller or sandwich maker, first toast the breads until golden brown
. Place the chutney,veggies and cheese on top of a toasted bread slice
. Now heat dosa tawa,place this bread slice on it and close it with a lid
. The cheese will start to melt. Now place another bread on top of it and press it tightly
.
Cheese will help in binding the bread slices together. Cut them into triangles and serve.
