Kara Kozhukkattai/ Savory Dumplings

Ingredients
Instructions
  1. Soak urad dal in water for an hour half
  2. Grind green chillies, ginger along with soaked urad dal together
  3. Let it be a coarse mixture
  4. Add salt and steam the mixture in steamer for minutes 5
  5. Heat oil in a kadai and add mustard seeds,curry leaves
  6. Let them splutter. Now add this urad dal mixture to the pan
  7. Sprinkle salt and hing
  8. Once the urad mixture is cooled down, stuff them in rice dough balls as we did for sweet kozhukkattai and steam them for about 5 minutes
  9. Kara kozhukkais are ready to be served
