Mushroom Biryani | Instant Pot Mushroom Briyani | Easy Mushroom Biryani recipe
Mushroom Biryani is an easy Instant Pot meal that can be prepared within 20 minutes. A great option for a potluck party, quick weekday lunchbox recipe too

Instructions
  1. Soak Basmati Rice for atleast 30 minutes
  2. Turn on Saute Mode in Instant pot and add oil, ghee
  3. Once they are hot add Jeera seeds. Let it splutter
  4. Add slit green chilli, onion, ginger garlic pieces. Saute well
  5. Add chopped tomatoes, mushrooms and continue sauteing
  6. Add salt, turmeric and other spice powders. Give it a mix
  7. Add yogurt and Basmati Rice
  8. Stir everything together
  9. Add 1.25 cups of water and add kasuri methi leaves
  10. Cancel Saute Mode and turn on Pressure Cook mode
  11. Set the timer to 5
  12. Once it is done you can release the pressure immediately or wait for 4-5 minutes and then release it
  13. I released the pressure after approx 4 minutes and this is how it looked like
  14. Also the best part of IP is you don’t have to worry about the rice getting burned
  15. This is how it looked like at the bottom of the pan
  16. Delicious Mushroom Biryani is ready under 20 minutes
  17. You can try adding exact 1 cup of water instead of 1.25 cups like I added. I guess that might yield even more fluffier rice. Mine was cooked well and we absolutely loved it
  18. I served Mushroom Briyani with Onion Raita..
Recipe Notes

1. I didn’t add any whole spices because I felt the combination of Garam Masala + MDH Kitchen King Masala + Dried Kasuri Methi leaves was sufficient. If you want you can add whole spices like Bay Leaf, Cardamom,Cloves, Saunf and Cinnamon along with Jeera seeds

2. You can also add Capsicum, Frozen Green Peas too to this rice 

3. Since I didn’t have any fresh herbs like Mint and Coriander I didn’t add them while cooking. You can add them as well
