Mushroom Peas pepper fry
Mushrooms are packed with nutrients and they also very less time to get cooked. This stir fry of Mushrooms & Peas taste delicious and can be served with Rice, Roti or even Dosai.

  1. Rinse the Mushrooms in cold water and using a kitchen towel wipe all the dirt from them
  2. Chop them into small pieces
  3. Heat oil in a pan and add Mustard seeds, Jeera Seeds
  4. Let them splutter
  5. Add finely chopped onion, garlic and ginger
  6. Once onions become translucent add mushroom pieces
  7. In a medium flame keep sauteeing mushrooms for one to two minutes
  8. Mushrooms will start releasing water. Wait for another 3-4 minutes for all the water to get dried up
  9. At this stage Mushroom pieces would have been cooked well
  10. Add salt, pepper powder
  11. Add frozen green peas,kasuri methi leaves and mix it all together
  12. Let them get cooked for another 2 minutes. Remove the pan from heat
  13. Serve it hot with Roti,Rice or Dosai

Recipe Notes

1. You can also add tomatoes capsicum to this recipe. I keep it simple

2. If you don’t like Pepper Powder you can replace it with Chilli Powder & Coriander Powder

3. Instead of Kasuri Methi leaves you can also add fresh curry leaves. They add a lovely flavor to this dish


4. If you want to serve this as a poriyal add 1/4 cup of fresh coconut or desiccated coconut
