How to cook Brown Rice
Brown Rice can be cooked well at home. It is not intimidating at all. Have given the details of know water proportions & cooking timing. Hope it helps

Pressure Cooker Method
  1. Soak a cup of Brown Rice in water for atleast 3-4 hours
  2. Rinse thoroughly
  3. Add 3 cups of water for one cup of Rice
  4. Pressure cook for atleast 8 whistles
  5. The output looked like this
  6. If you feel there is extra water and the rice is still uncooked then pressure cook again for 2-3 whistles
  7. However if you feel there is extra water but the rice is cooked well then drain the water and serve the rice as it is
  8. From next time you can slightly reduce the quantitu of water and then pressure cook the Rice
How to cook Brown Rice directly in Instant Pot
  1. As I mentioned it is always mandatory to soak Brown Rice for atleast 3-4 hours. No matter whether you cook in Instant Pot or Pressure cooker
  2. Add one cup of soaked Brown Rice to the pot directly
  3. Add two cups of water and turn on ‘Pressure Cook’ mode
  4. Make sure ‘High Pressure’ setting is turned on and ‘Keep Warm’ setting is turned off
  5. Set the timer to 18 minutes
  6. Once the timer is off let it cool for few minutes and manually release the pressure
  7. Depending on the variety of Rice you use the cooking time might vary. If you feel the rice looks undercooked then kindly pressure cook for 2 or 3 more minutes. Check the output
  8. Mine looked perfect after 18 minutes hence mentioning it here.
  9. After one or two trials you will be able to figure out the exact cooking time
How to cook Brown Rice in Pot in Pot method
  1. Add a cup of water to the pot
  2. Place the trivet in the pot
  3. Now add 2 cups of water to the Brown Rice and place the vessel on the trivet
  4. Close it with a plate
  5. Turn on ‘Pressure Cook’ and ‘High Pressure’ settings
  6. Set the timer to 20 minutes
  7. Once the timer is off manually release the pressure after few minutes
