Ingredients
Instructions
  1. Pressure cook millets + masoordal together with 3 cups of water
  2. Leave it upto 4 whistles (approximately 10 12 minutes)
  3. Then add powdered jaggery, milk and keep stirring
  4. Once the jaggery starts to melt you could see change of color in the millets mixture
  5. At this stage add cardamom powder, simmer the flame and wait until it gets cooked
  6. Usually it takes minutes to get the right texture and taste. So wait until that time 10
  7. Keep the flame low to avoid burning
  8. Heat ghee in a tadka pan add cashews,raisins and roast them until golden brown
  9. Add them to millets pongal before serving
