Urad Dal flour is essential when making snacks like Murukku, Thattai, and for other savoury items as well. You can store the flour in a container and use it later too.
In a frying pan add urad dal and keep sautéing until golden brown.
Do not add oil for this.
Once the colour changes grind it to a powder.
Urad dal powder is generally very smooth and hence you need not pass it through sieve.
